Party bags are a lovely way to thank all the children that come along to your child’s party, but it can be a minefield trying to decide what should be put in them. We know that with our precious little ones it’s what’s inside the party bag that counts, so we have got some great ideas for you to avoid disappointment!
One idea that usually works well is to follow the theme of the party with the bag, so for example if it’s a sports party you could put in a bat and ball or a small inflatable football – something that they will be able to have fun with at home too. A painting canvas or set is also fantastic at encouraging kids to get creative.
Why not pop in do-it-yourself face masks – they can all have different animals or characters, and you can add everything they need to colour in and make the masks themselves. Another fun and creative idea would be to put in play-doh for them to create their own characters and animals.
For our green fingered friends how about putting in a little plant pack, this is a great gift which encourages kids to get outside in the garden and gives little people the opportunity to learn how to grow their own vegetables at home. It’s a great way to introduce kids to the idea of where their food comes from and also makes a fun alternative to toys.
Finally, if you want to try and get the children to play outside with their party bags, you could add some bubbles. All little ones seem to become mesmerized when they play with bubbles, and they love to see who can create the largest or the most bubbles. It means they get a chance to play outside and run around, creating swirls of bubbles and giggling as they go.
Party bags can be inventive, creative and fun – there’s no need to rely on the old staples of sweets and chocolate. With allergies and intolerances on the rise, it’s much safer to create a party bag with play items rather than edibles, and the toys and games will be much more memorable and longer-lasting than yet another sweet treat.
Have fun and get creative!
